Day by Day

Day 1 - Bengaluru

The Grand Welcome

After entering the illustrious capital of Karnataka, our team will pick you up from the airport and take you directly to your preferred hotel. After lunch, visit Bangalore Palace and Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace. These two giants have survived the passage of time to tell us their version of history. After capturing the moment, return to your hotel and enjoy a warm welcoming dinner.

Day 2 - Bengaluru

Gardens and Local Cuisine

Start the day with Sri Chamarajendra Park, or as locals call it, Cubbon Park. Here you can explore the canna lily beds, Araucaria Avenue, and the iconic red building known as Attara Kacheri. Next up is Lalbagh Botanical Garden, where you can see large patches of flowers and the Lalbagh Glass House. Just before lunch hour, head over to the South Indian cooking workshop and learn how to make delicious regional cuisines, which can also be your lunch, if you want. Spend the afternoon recovering from all the chaos. And when evening comes, venture outside and see what the lively streets of Bengaluru have in store for you.

Day 3 - Mysuru

Culture and Colorful Kumkum

Continue onwards to the city of Mysuru, also known as the Cultural Center of Karnataka. Upon arrival, relax and enjoy your lunch, before heading to the Mysore Palace. You may hear people calling it Amba Vilas Palace, which is the second name of this place. It is also the second most visited palace after the Taj Mahal and has a deep connection to the roots of Karnataka. In the evening, walk over to the nearby Devaraja Market and explore its ocean of spices, flowers, fruits, and Kumkum powder.

Day 4 - Mysuru

Shrines and Wildlife

Expect an early visit to the Chamundeshwari Temple, where you’ll learn the secrets behind the city’s name. Later, see the Cathedral of St. Joseph & St. Philomena and admire its neo-Gothic style architecture. Venture further with an afternoon visit to Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, or as we call it, Mysuru Zoo. Here you can see chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans, white rhinos, and cheetahs. This is the only zoo in India to house these animals. Later in the evening, drive over to Brindavan Gardens for a colorful fountain show before retiring for the day.

Day 5 - Mysuru

Art and Traditions

This day is dedicated to artisans, craftsmanship, and their traditions. So our team will drive you to various workshops around the town, like traditional sandalwood carving and century-old Mysore painting. You can spend the remaining time as you wish. Maybe visit the nearby art galleries and quench that artistic soul of yours. Or explore markets and cafes and see what Mysore life looks like.

Day 6 - Belur and Halebidu

The Mysterious Empire

Today you will travel north from Mysuru and enter the mysterious Hassan region. Here you can see two of the three Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas, which have been declared as UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 2023. Your first stop, Belur, was the early capital of the Hoysala Empire, where the Channakeshava Temple resides. The second monument is located at Halebidu and is known as the Hoysalesvara Temple. These shrines are the centerpiece of this trip and hold a significant role in the state’s culture.

Day 7 - Hampi

The Kingdom of Karnataka

Embark on your journey from the Hassan region to Hampi. This city was part of the old Vijayanagara Empire, which also built the stunning Virupaksha Temple. But before visiting that, you will check-in to your hotel and rest for the day. When evening calls, head over to the shrine and uncover the reason behind its UNESCO World Heritage status. Later, walk up the Hemakuta Hill for a breathtaking sunset, which makes this temple look even more radiant than before.

Day 8 - Hampi

The Eagle God and The Old Ruins

The day begins with a ride to Rishyamuka Parvata, or popularly known as Matanga Hill. Here you will see a gorgeous sunrise over the rocky and uneven terrains of Vijayanagara. Afterwards, visit Shree Vijaya Vitthala Temple, where the shrine of the Great Eagle Garuda is. He is the mount of Lord Vishnu, represented with its stone chariot-style architecture. Once the tour of the relic is over, head over to the Tungabhadra River for a boat ride on traditional dome-shaped coracles. You can see more ruins along the ride, and when the sun starts setting, head back to the city and explore its cafe culture before settling in for the day.

Day 9 - Hampi

The Daily Life of a King

This will be your last day at Hampi. So the day is packed with lots of sightseeing, like Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stables, Hazara Rama Temple, Queen’s Bath, and Stepped Tank. This complete set of activities will unfold how the royals from the Vijayanagara Empire lived their day-to-day lives. When evening comes, and the Royal Enclosure Tour is over, visit Hampi’s ancient bazaars, hidden temples, and taste locally sourced foods.

Day 10 - Badami

The Mountain Temple

Say your farewells to Hampi and start driving to the city of Badami. This place is famous for its mountain-carved monuments, which you can visit right after checking into your hotel. Rock climbers, this one’s for you. Badami's red sandstone cliffs have free sport climbing and bouldering during the day. And whether you climb or not, in the evening, head over to the hilltop and enjoy a great sunset view over the Agastya Lake.

Day 11 - Chitradurga

The Fort City

Time to head home. Your route back to Bengaluru passes through Chitradurga — a fort city worth a stop. After the drive, the choice is yours: rest and take it easy, or explore Chitradurga Fort, or as the British called it, Chitaldoorg, in the evening.

Day 12 - Bangalore

See you around

If you skipped the Chitradurga Fort on the previous day, you can visit there now right after your breakfast. This will be your final sight before our team escorts you back to the airport in Bangalore. And as always, we hope to see you again soon.
