Day-by-Day
Arrival in the Pink City & Hilltop Temples
Arrive in Jaipur and transfer to your heritage castle hotel. In the evening, drive to Galtaji, also known as the Monkey Temple, and walk through its stepwells and shrines as the sun sets over the surrounding hills.
Leopard Safari & Fort Wall Trek
Head out early for a 4x4 leopard safari in the rocky terrain of Jhalana Reserve. Later in the afternoon, drive to Nahargarh Fort and hike along the historic fortifications often called the “Great Wall of Jaipur”. Special thanks to our partner, Dhruv Mittal, for the photos.
ATV Trails & Zip-Line Adventure
Ride an ATV through Achrol’s sandy wildlands and forest trails in the morning. In the afternoon go go karting.
The Tiger Territory
Drive toward Ranthambore, one of North India’s premier tiger reserves. Check into your lodge near the forest. In the evening, take a nature walk along the park’s edge where you can see birds and small wildlife.
Tiger Safaris & Fort Temple
Set out for morning and afternoon jeep safaris through the forest, searching for Bengal tigers, deer, and other wildlife. Between safaris, visit the Trinetra Ganesha Temple, one of the region’s oldest shrines.
Fort Ruins & Bonfire Ecology
Spend the morning exploring the rugged pathways of Ranthambore Fort, passing through ancient gates and hilltop ruins. The afternoon remains free at the lodge. In the evening, gather around a bonfire for a talk with a local naturalist about the park’s ecology.
Aravalli Hills & Castle Stay
Drive into the Aravalli hills toward Deogarh. Check into a 17th-century castle. Yep. The rest of the day unfolds at your leisure within the heritage property.
Rural Rail Ride & Village Tracks
Take the Deogarh rural train through tunnels, bridges, and hill landscapes on a historic line. Later, travel through nearby villages by bullock cart or tractor, observing daily agricultural life.
Fort Walls & Hilltop Trekking
Drive to Kumbhalgarh, home to one of India’s grandest hill forts. Explore the massive fort complex before setting out on a guided hike along its defensive walls and forested hills.
Granite Hills & Leopard Safari
Travel to the dramatic granite landscape of Jawai. Check into your nature resort set among the rocks. In the afternoon, head out on a leopard safari in custom 4x4 vehicles, searching for these elusive predators among the boulders.
Crocodiles & Shepherd Trails
Begin the day with a safari near Jawai Dam, known for its large crocodile population. Later, walk through the hills with members of the Rabari shepherd community and learn about local life.
Desert Dunes & ATV Adventures
Drive into the Thar Desert toward Osian. On arrival, head into the dunes for a 4x4 dune-bashing session followed by sunset ATV riding. Spend the night at a boutique desert camp with folk music and a bonfire under the stars.
Temple Visit & Camel Sunset
Visit the hilltop Sachiya Mata Temple, an architectural landmark dating back centuries. Later, take a slow camel trek into quieter sections of the desert for a private sunset aperitif among the dunes.
Desert Morning & Departure
Spend a relaxed morning in the desert before driving to Jodhpur. Transfer to the airport for your onward journey, concluding the adventure.
