Rishikesh, famously known as the “yoga capital of the world,” is located at the entrance of the Himalayas. With the holy river Ganges flowing along the side, Rishikesh offers both a serene view and spiritual experiences. The historic town traces its roots back to Lord Shiva, often referred to as ‘the ultimate yogi,’ sharing his spiritual knowledge with his wife, Goddess Parvati, through meditation.

It is also believed to be where Lord Rama attained spiritual purification through deep meditation after killing Ravana.

Multiple reputable institutions and spiritual figures founded their ashrams for practicing yoga and a satvic lifestyle. They offer beginner-friendly yoga classes to complete structured ones.
